Reservations for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, P w B D, Ex SM and Relaxations in age for various eligible categories will be applicable as per govt Rules.

Stages of Exam:

There shall be two stage Computer Based Test (CBTs) followed by “Computer based Aptitude Test (CBAT)/ Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable”

● Computer based Aptitude Test for Station Master and

● Typing Skill Test for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist.

● For Goods Train Manager, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, there shall be two stage CBTs followed by document verification and medical examination.

RRB wise short listing of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT shall be done at the rate of 15 times the vacancies.

The short listing for Computer Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test shall be to the extent of 8 times the vacancies.

Syllabus: (cbt 1 & cbt 2)

Mathematics:

Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics etc.

General Intelligence and Reasoning:

Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc.

General Awareness:

Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), History of India and Freedom Struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system, General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications,Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India etc.

2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

General Awareness : 50 marks

Mathematics : 35 marks

General Intelligence and Reasoning : 35 marks

Typing Skill Test (TST):

For the posts Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist.

Typing Skill Test (TST) of qualifying nature (marks obtained in typing skill test shall not be added for making merit) shall be conducted for which the number of candidates equal to eight times the number of vacancies for each of the community shall be called for. The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.

Examination Fees:

For all candidates except the fee concession categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2. Out of this fee of Rs 500/. an amount of Rs 400/. shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.

For P w B D / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class - 500/.
This fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in 1st Stage
