Information :   The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the RRB NTPC examination to fill positions under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Under Graduate Posts. A thorough understanding of the RRB NTPC syllabus is crucial for candidates preparing for this exam.

The recruitment process will include a First Stage Computer-Based Examination (CBE), followed by a Second Stage Computer-Based Examination (CBE). This will be followed by a Typing Proficiency Test or a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (where applicable), and finally, a Document Verification/Medical Examination. Salary - 19900

For all candidates except the fee concession categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2. Out of this fee of Rs 500/. an amount of Rs 400/. shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.

For P w B D / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class - 500/.

This fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.

Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) will be conduct after qualify

Closing of online registration of Applications : 20.10.2024 at 23:59 hrs

Date for fees payment after closing date i.e. 20.10.2024 (23:59 hrs) :

Date for Modification window for corrections in application form with payment of modification fee :

 23.10.2024 to 01.11.2024

Stages of Exam: 

There shall be two stage Computer Based Test (CBTs) (CBT 1 And CBT 2) followed by “Computer based Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable”

• Typing Skill Test for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist.

• Subsequently, there will be document verification and medical examination.

• For Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk there shall be two stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination.

Short Listing for Various Stages:

 ● RRB wise short listing of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT shall be done at the rate of 15 times the vacancies.

● The short listing for Computer Based Typing Skill Test shall be to the extent of 8 times the vacancies (may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway Administration) based on the merit of the candidates in 2nd Stage CBT. When a candidate is qualified in 1st stage CBT & shortlisted for subsequent stages as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD he/she will continue to be considered as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD respectively in all subsequent stages.

 Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answer in CBTs. Deduction of 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be made for each wrong answer.

 Syllabus :  

Mathematics: 

The study includes topics like the Number System, Operations with Decimals and Fractions, Least Common Multiple (LCM), Greatest Common Divisor (GCD), Ratios and Proportions, Percentages, Measurement, Work & Time, Distance & Time, Basics and Advanced Interest calculations, Gains & Losses, Introductory Algebra, Basics of Geometry and Trigonometry, and Fundamental Statistics, among others.

Reasoning:

This section covers Analogy, Sequence Completion for Numbers and Alphabets, Ciphering & Deciphering, Arithmetic Tasks, Identifying Similarities & Differences, Understanding Relationships, Logic-Based Reasoning, Deductive Reasoning, Scrambled Text, Diagrammatic Relations, Puzzles, Assessing Data Adequacy, Logical Conclusions, Planning Protocol, Decision-Making, Geographical Map Analysis, Graphical Data Interpretation, etc.

General Awareness:
